Part of the work winning team in the preconstruction department, the Bid Manager will work to develop tailored proposals to a high professional standard. The Bid Manager will take full control of their allocated bid, providing the main point of contact for the client and design team, facilitating a strategically driven proposal and working closely with the respective estimating, design, planning and Director level stakeholders.
Strong written and presentation skills, a good command of written English, an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure are key pre-requisites for this role. Prior experience of bid management from within closely related industry sectors will give applicants a detailed understanding of the tendering process, governance and the development of customer focussed, bespoke documents. A technical construction background.
Applicants should be qualified to a minimum of HNC/D level in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or alternatively have gained the relevant industry experience in a similar contractor business.
