Bid Writer required to join busy contractor in Newcastle.

Well established, busy contractor operating within the construction industry. Operating for more than a decade, this business has progressively developed its client base and service offering within the construction fit out and furniture sectors, spanning the work space, leisure and commercial sectors. The business demonstrates a portfolio of high profile, top quality projects both in the local area and the UK.

A Bid Writer is required to deal with new tender opportunities that come from an array of different clients. This position is primarily office based (when out of lockdown) and will interface with several other colleagues, including the lead generators, estimating and operational delivery teams. The role will involve creation of bid documents for submission; utilising company information and existing documents as well as crafting written answers to suit the questions posed by individual tenders.

Experience Required
Proven capability within a bid role/team is important, however, this role is available to someone eager to become a bid writer and take on more responsibility of this nature. Proven experience in the exact same role is not required.

Ideally, demonstrating an understanding of the tender process, the client requirement and competence to pull together relevant information will be key. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they will be able to put together well written and comprehensive responses to tender requirements in order to win work.

Confidence with computer systems is imperative, especially Word. Additional experience with softwares such as InDesign will be advantageous.

Salary will depend on experience brought to the role, between £25,000 and £33,000, plus other benefits.
