Business Development Coordinator required for a brand new role in the Darlington area. Working in a small team you will use a variety of market intelligence systems and on-line tools to identify leads and ensure that a CRM is kept up to date.
This is a crucial role that supports business development activities by identifying new opportunities (lead generation), contributing to winning new business, and managing the information contained in a client relationship management (CRM) database.
The successful applicant will use a variety of market intelligence systems and on-line tools to research target markets and highlight new business opportunities that are of potential interest. You will work closely with sales and business development colleagues to evaluate which opportunities to progress.
Your role will also include assisting in the early stages of the tender process by completing pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) using standard company information, such as certificates and accreditations.
To help build a strong database of accurate market and client information, the CRM will be a key tool that you will use daily. You will input company details and client contact records; enter information about potential new projects and opportunities; and maintain records of all correspondence and contact with clients during the sales and tender process. You will also run various reports to help track business development and bidding activities. You will become a CRM ‘Super User’ and be responsible for the accuracy of the information held in this database, so a passion for detail is vital.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate proven client database management and lead generation skills.
Experience of working with main contractors in the construction sector will be a distinct advantage.
£20,000 to £25,000 per annum.
