Specialist subcontractor working on £multi-million schemes with top national contractors. This business has a strong North East portfolio of work which is ever-increasing, hence the need to appoint a Buyer. The company offers a close knit, friendly work environment, flexible working hours and support to employees wishing to complete additional, relevant academic courses.
An experienced Buyer is required to join the company, taking responsibility for dealing with all suppliers to manage information on pricing, negotiate the best deals and manage materials ordering in line with construction projects to be delivered.
The ideal applicant will have experience as a Buyer within a construction setting and will demonstrate the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with suppliers. Self management, good organisation, excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite for this role.
Annual pay will be negotiable depending on experience. The company offer a range of other benefits such as a generous bonus scheme, flexible working patterns and working from home options.
