Construction Manager

An opportunity for an experienced construction professional to play a key role in a long-established family building business.

The Company
A multi-discipline commercial building contractor, privately owned, with a strong reputation with a number of clients, and therefore a good breadth of repeat business over the years.

The Role
The Construction Manager will be responsible for assessing jobs at enquiry stage and pricing them, and thereafter ensuring they are set up properly from the start, and that site managers are managing the progress of jobs according to programme, and that the client is carefully tended to throughout the building phase, negotiating any extensions as required, and in managing aftercare after completion.

Experience Required
It is essential that applicants can demonstrate a number of years of building experience at management level, ideally also working with commercial clients.

It is preferred that applicants have good knowledge of the local geographical area (South Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire) and the subcontractor market locally.
