Credit Controller required for a new full-time role in Peterlee. This is an interim role to cover maternity leave and will run for 9-12 months.
Working alongside another Credit Controller and reporting to a Finance Manager, you will be part of a lively team who work hard but also manage to balance this with some fun too.
The client portfolio is both very large and diverse and made up of SME’s. You must be able to build rapport with a range of people and have an appreciation of excellent customer service.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Management of circa 10,000 customer accounts with a monthly average ledger value of £6M.
Manage the overdue debt, to mitigate risk and minimise debt value and volume.
Review and monitor all customers ensuring proactive action is taken to make contact and police agreed payments terms.
Report periodically on aged debt analysis.
Liaise with Business Development Managers to solve customer issues.
Provide cover in other roles within the office.
Previous experience of dealing with business customers to collect debt within a debt recovery, credit control or collections role.
Excellent communications skills and customer approach.
Previous experience of managing a high volume of work.
Strong IT skills.
A good organiser who is flexible to a demanding workload is essential.
£9.50 – £10.50 per hour (PAYE).
