Engineer (Housing Infrastructure)

Opportunity for an Engineer to co-ordinate engineering design for a housing developer.

The Role
The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate technical design information and analysis for a number of sites, ensuring that infrastructure such as roads, sewers, plotworks, drainage, for housing developments is well designed, robust and fit for purpose. Duties include organising technical site appraisals, surveys, appointment of external consultants – engineering design, environmental and geotechnical engineering. The Engineer is involved from feasibility/planning stage through to the construction phase. Checking all drawings produced by consultants. Building good relationships with external and internal parties to manage deadlines.

Experience Required
A construction qualification such as HNC/HND.
A background in construction engineering design or design co-ordination.
Liaison with local authorities and water companies for S38, S278, S104 and S106 agreements.
