Estimating Manager

An exciting new opportunity for an Estimating Manager to join a specialist team.

A specialist contractor working on a variety of restorative and remedial schemes around the North East and surrounding areas. The role presents a fantastic opportunity for an established Estimating Manager with experience in restorative works.

Job
Working closely and in support of the Managing director as his second hand man, you will be accountable for understanding tendering packages and their terminology. The ideal applicant will be accountable for managing and contributing to the preparation of properly considered cost estimates for review and submission.

Experience Required
It is imperative to have experience in pricing construction work already, having either worked as an Estimator or in a dual pre-contract QS role. Applicants should be eager to work for a company that is expanding and creating new challenges and opportunities for staff through its own growth. Reliability and accountability are key traits to demonstrate as this workplace provides individuals with freedom and flexibility in their working style.

Familiarity with Bills of Works and extracting data from client documents in order to prepare bids and tenders
Produce material and parts purchase lists for projects
Strong connections with Architects, Contractors and Developers when required
Managing client relationships, identifying opportunities for new contracts
Attending public meetings
Assessing the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertaking risk management in specialist roles
Managing budgets and other project resources

Remuneration
Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
