Finance Manager required for a new, 6-9 month maternity cover in Gateshead.  This is full-time to start mid-April.

The Role
General day to day duties will include producing purchase order numbers and dealing with general queries etc.  In addition to this the successful candidate will be responsible for purchase ledger – posting supplier and subcontractor invoices, monthly statement check and payments of accounts.  This is a construction related business and so there will also be a requirement to deal with subcontractor and client retentions too.  In relation to the sales ledger, the post holder will be responsible for raising and posting sales invoices and chasing debtors. 

Additional duties will include Bank/Petty Cash; CIS Tax (monthly return to HMRC), VAT returns, monthly WIP, reporting of accounts and reconciling the nominals accounts.

Finally, running a payroll for around 70 staff.

The Person
Applicants must be well versed in payroll and general accounts. Whilst this is in the construction sector, it isn’t essential to have CIS experience there will be a handover of a few weeks and the support of a senior team in the head office.

Ideally, applicants will have a working knowledge of Sage 200.

Remuneration
£14.45 – £15.00 per hour.
