HR Administrator required for a Durham City Centre business. This is a full-time post to start in January and will run for three months.
Provide administrative support – typing correspondence, photocopying / printing, mailings, record keeping, filing, office equipment, running a booking systems for events etc.
Collation and input of data around training attendance, evaluations, invitations to training and creation of regular departmental reports as required.
Support with the practical arrangements for training and events – including preparing training manuals, hand outs, evaluations and other support materials
Maintaining all personnel records as directed by HR Manager
Deal with incoming calls and respond to web enquiries.
Maintain a CRM and keep up to date fundraising records.
Provide administrative and IT support for users of the CRM
Assist with the HR database as directed by the HR Manager.
Act as PA for the CEO as necessary.
Attend and service staff meetings including Board Meetings, this will include minute taking.
Working hours are full time, 37.5 hours a week (Core hours – 8:30am – 4:30pm). Flexible working hours are essential, as some meetings and training events will take place out of normal office hours
Excellent administrative skills and at least two years of experience in an administrator role
Confident IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
Experience of maintaining databases
Good organisational abilities and ability to prioritise workload
A keen understanding of the need for confidentiality
Experience of minute taking
Clear, confident communicator , both verbally and written
Willing to work as part of a team and also on own initiative
Flexibility in approach to work
Excellent telephone manner
Whilst not essential, it would be great if applicants also had some experience of Microsoft Publisher and website editing and an NVQ in business administration.
£8.50 – £9.00 per hour
