The Role
This is an opportunity for a suitably qualified, competent and experienced HSQE Adviser to work on the heavy civils, deep excavations and piling works on interesting construction projects within higher risk /COMAH environments.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate:

Membership of IOSH
NEBOSH National General (or Construction) Certificate or higher-level qualification such as Diploma or Degree in health and safety management. An environmental qualification such as IEMA or NBOSH Environmental Certificate/Diploma is also desirable.
Good knowledge of ISO, HSE Legislation and British Standards.
Qualification or have significant experience in Lead Auditing for all three ISO Standards: 9001, 14001 and 45001.
UK Driving Licence
CSCS Card at Health and Safety Technical, Supervisor or Manager Level
Other qualification such as HNC/D or Degree in Construction Related Occupation
Experience in Energy, Petrochemical or other COMAH sector.
IT literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Familiarity with latest health & safety legislation and industry best-practice guidance
Ability to produce obtain and distribute up to date Health and Safety information
Knowledge and experience of working with external authorities such as SEPA, HSE, Local Authority etc.
Ability to communicate well at different levels within the organisation
Ability to develop relationships with colleagues and other internal and external stakeholders.
Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
Commitment to continued professional development

Experience Required
Experience in Health and Safety management within Energy, Petrochemical or other COMAH sector environments is essential, in addition to:
Familiarity with latest health & safety legislation and industry best-practice guidance
Ability to produce obtain and distribute up to date Health and Safety information
Knowledge and experience of working with external authorities such as SEPA, HSE, Local Authority etc.

Experience in Quality is a priority – ideally candidates will have experience of pre-pour inspections, control processes, inspection and test plans and auditing business management systems in line with IS0 9001, 14001 and 45001.
