Internal Auditor required for a large construction business, this is to be based in Newcastle, Liverpool or Sheffield to suit the applicant.
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will be required to undertake risk based commercial Audits on projects being delivered by the Group to provide confidence to the Group Directorate that project commercial reporting is accurate, complete, and realistic. In addition to this you will assist and support project staff in achieving best possible outcomes on projects and ensure that commercial imperatives are effectively managed, and that Group Commercial Policy is applied and delivered in a consistent manner across projects in accordance with the Group Management System.
Providing guidance and support to the commercial teams on the application and implementation of all aspects of current Group Commercial Policy and Procedure will be part of this remit, along with assisting and supporting management in the ongoing development of the Group Management System.
Prior audit experience is preferable but not essential but applicants must have proven commercial or financial experience within a main contracting organisation and a Quantity Surveying (RICS), Building (CIOB) or Financial Qualification. Applicants will have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for their own work, possess Analytical and problem-solving skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additionally, applicants will have excellent presentation skills, strong IT skills and a driving licence.
£47,500 – £55,000 per annum
