A fantastic career opportunity for a Planning and Delay Consultant for an established construction consultancy specialising in dispute prevention, avoidance and resolution.

They are the experts in all things contractual, bringing a wealth of experience in the construction industry and offering tailored professional services to their clients. Their services include dispute prevention work for clients such as reviews, workshops training, or dispute resolution work including claim preparation, adjudication assistant or Expert Advisor/Witness services when litigation support is required. Planning and Delay Analysts play an important role in the process identifying the causes of delays, their impact on the project and provide the detail to submit claims or to assess the validity of claims. 

The Role
As a Planning and Delay Analysis Consultant you will be using your wealth of experience and understanding of construction project programmes and contacts to analyse how and where time related issues have arisen throughout the lifecycle of a project.  If not working on a dispute related matter, other work might include reviewing and advising on construction programmes, or delivering some training. Proficiency in using planning software such as Asta or Primavera is important, as are excellent report writing skills.  This role requires an analytical, methodical approach, able to identify and understand the detail within contractual arrangements.

Experience Required
A degree in a construction related subject.
Chartership such as (MRICS) or working towards this or another professional qualification is highly desirable or a willingness to work towards
Experience working in a planning and programming role for a construction contractor.
Proficiency with planning software                                                                                                                         
Practical and academic understanding of time and delay matters.
A good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contractual matters
A strategic thinker with proven problem solving skills
Excellent communicator
