A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a well-established principal contractor to manage various civil engineering & new build infrastructure schemes across the North West and the surrounding areas.
Are a diverse civil engineering principal contractor who deliver a variety of multi-million pound projects covering various sectors. The annual turnover is over £60m and they employ around 300 people. They operate with a friendly and unique family-run business attitude whilst maintaining the professionalism of a larger principal contractor.
Typical projects include: major highways construction, heavy civil engineering works, full infrastructure packages for large commercial & industrial sites and a variety of other works.
The Project Manager will take responsibility for managing an initial project as principal contractor. The initial project is an infrastructure and highways project for a commercial client with a value of over £3m.
Duties will involve: planning and delivering projects from cradle to grave, liaising with clients & local authorities, managing procurement, all paperwork/documentation for site, labour hire, managing sub-contractors, working with commercial team regularly and general duties ensuring smooth delivery of projects and deadlines.
Must have Site / Project Management experience on large infrastructure/civil engineering schemes with values of over £10m.
Must have previous experience working as principal contractor.
Ideally have a Site Engineer background.
Must have experience taking jobs from 'cradle to grave' through ECI, major construction and handover phases etc.
Salary up to £60,000 (dependent upon experience) plus competitive package including company vehicle or allowance, fuel, generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme and more.
