Company
An established and successful third generation family business turning over approximately £300m, with a growth plan to get to £450m, a group of companies with a contracting business operating within water, power, rail and other aligned businesses within the group offering other services across the civil engineering sector.

The Role
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a range of service replacement programmes, estimating and delivering  jobs and schemes, providing management and forward planning, always ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales, whilst maintaining focus on safety and quality. The role is varied and includes assessing planned works, ensuring teams have the materials and tools to conduct their tasks efficiently and safely, conducting site surveys and audits.

Responsibilities include:
Management of  all designated project work to ensure successful completion in accordance with safety, technical and legislative policies and procedures, as well as delivering in accordance with programme, cost and quality.
Weekly site meetings with Civils and Electrical Site Managers to ensure continuity of works, identify any issues and establish a solution.
Planning and organising construction phase plans and operational teams task instructions for scheme delivery, liaising with planning team to generate project plans.
Liaise and coordinate with managers and associated stakeholders to meet key programme dates.
Production of project execution plan associated with the proposed delivery strategy, production of associated programme and supporting the estimating team with pricing the works.
Undertake procurement for works required to support site works as well as for activities that will feed into the overall pricing of the project.
Controlling the finances for each project under their portfolio and provide business updates on both current and forecasted spend across various schemes.
Demonstrate visual leadership and promote alliancing behaviour to maintain close and proactive working relationships with the client.

Experience Required
Extensive knowledge and experience of LV is essential as is an understanding HV DNO networks. Knowledge of Streetworks, NSP 002 policy, substations, faults, service replacement experience and understanding of NPS OPM’s and DSR’s are all advantageous.

Remuneration
£45,000 to £50,000 per annum plus vehicle.
