A Purchase Ledger/Accountant Technician is required for a permanent position based in Prudhoe, Northumberland. Working for an established family run business, the successful applicant will maintain a purchase ledger, assist with the monthly preparation of the management accounts and will be responsible for the preparation of the year end audit.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9-5.
Working in a small team, responsibilities will include: setting up and maintaining creditor accounts, preparation of purchase invoices, liaising with relevant departments, entering purchase ledger invoices on to the system, allocating payments against creditor accounts, monthly payment run, bank reconciliations, handling petty cash, maintenance of purchase ledgers, balancing of books and purchase ledger at the close of each month.
In addition to the duties, which this job normally entails, the employee may be required to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Purchase Ledger experience is essential, knowledge of Sun Systems Accounting and Proactis is preferable.
GCSE in Mathematics and English is essential
AAT level 2 or above is desirable
£28,500 – £32,000 plus benefits
