Senior Quantity Surveyor

This is a highly attractive opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who prefers to work in a smaller main contractor environment.

Having operated as main contractor for over 20 years in the care sector, this is a fabulous construction company who love what they do, providing tailored construction services for both new-build and refurbishment projects that range in value from £6 million to £20 million. Their workmanship and pride in what they deliver mean their clients come back again and again.

The Role
You will be a person not a number in a company like this. Personality, passion and a desire to learn and grow are key to this position. They offer a turnkey solution when needed, therefore as Senior Quantity Surveyor there will be the typical activities from pre-tender to completion, sub-contractor procurement and management to final account, as well as having input into design and development of sites and buying of materials for sites. Any aspects outside of the usual Surveyor's role can be learned, as long as the person is open and willing. There is also the option, if desired, to become part owner of the company in time.

Experience Required
Suitable construction qualification such as HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
JCT contracts experience.
8+ years' experience in a main building contractor environment managing projects in the region of £5-10 million.
Experience with residential projects such as student accommodation, hotels, care homes is beneficial, not essential.
