A good opportunity for an experience Site Engineer to undertake a key role within an established regional contractor in line with their growth and pipeline of work, to oversee projects as the company works as an internal subcontractor, a main civils contractor and as a subcontractor to other main contractors.

The Role
Working across a full breadth of projects within civils and groundworks – reinforced concrete, structural steel, some elements of housing infrastructure and so on – the Site Engineer will be responsible for working with the Site Manager in a range of duties as outlined below.

Experience Required
It is essential that applicants demonstrate a substantial amount of experience as a Site Engineer within a civil engineering environment.  The Site Engineer will be expected to:

Assist the Site Manager on a day-to-day basis as may be required to organise site operations to ensure that all work is carried out to the appropriate QHSE compliance and standards with minimum risk to people, equipment, materials and the environment.
Assist the Site Manager to ensure that CDM requirements are met within projects.
Possess a strong background in civil engineering works and a proven track record and capability  on site.
Interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications and communicate requirements to our site teams.
Assist the Site Manager in the compilation of construction programmes incorporating key project dates and coordinating site activities to ensure these are met
Supervise and monitor the site labour force and monitor the work of any sub-contractors.
Assist with the resolution of any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise during the construction process.
Arrange and manage the testing of all materials in accordance with the specification and project requirements.
Maintain an accurate daily site diary
Demonstrate a strong drive to progress within management structure and demonstrate excellent communication skills
Hold a full UK driving license

£30,000 to £34,000 per annum plus vehicle and additional benefits.
