Autonomy – flexibility – excellent prospects

Company
Established for more than a decade, this company is a privately owned design consultancy providing services to the residential and commercial building sectors.

Role
A Structural Engineer is required to work on projects for a range of clients including private home owners, architectural firms, builders and developers, involved in concept planning, technical/building regs and structural engineering design stages. Projects could range from addressing a crack in a wall to large new housing estates or commercial property redevelopment.

This role is office based with flexible working hours, positioned within an open, friendly and relaxed, team environment. The company has a relatively flat structure and progression is paced as per the readiness of the individual to take on additional responsibilities. The Engineer's role can vary from dealing only with technical aspects of the job, through to managing initial client enquiries, developing design briefs and providing quotation.

Employees typically work 40 hours per week but there are options to work a different number of hours on a more different work pattern, for example, a 32 hour week over three or four days, if required. All overtime beyond contracted hours is paid.

Experience Required
The ideal applicant will be a degree qualified structural engineer who has some experience in the industry already, but who is keen to gain a greater variety of responsibilities and work within a professional, but less corporate, environment.

Remuneration
Salary will depend upon level of experience brought to the role – please speak to Bridget Yates at Corepeople confidentially for further information.

This is a permanent position and Corepeople Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.
