An opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to join an established regional contractor to oversee all technical elements and statutory applications for the full range of schemes.

The company has been carefully and thoughtfully managed over a number of years and, with some strategic planning and tendering, has a strong pipeline of work and an experienced, positive team.
The Technical Manager will manage a small team of engineers and trainees to ensure they are working in full compliance with the company's quality management system, and to ensure that all technical issues are effectively managed and queries and applications are identified and addressed accordingly on a range of schemes from the design development stage through delivery.
Duties include the controlling safety on site, managing costs, programming the works, management of the construction progress, procurement and management of subcontractors and liaison with clients, statutory bodies and local authorities.
The Technical Manager will also be expected to provide input into bids and pre-contractual information, and for material requisitions and relevant council/authority/agency consent applications as relevant.
It is essential that applicants are trained, experienced engineers within a construction/built environment background, ideally with experience across both civil engineering and building, and is comfortable managing engineers in the use of setting out equipment.
