Site Manager
An experienced Site Manager to join a leading regional principal contractor on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional management team delivering a prestigious multimillion-pound new build commercial development in Sunderland.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a high-profile commercial project. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and programme delivery.
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all on-site activities
Lead and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and trades
Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and company procedures
Monitor site progress against programme and report to senior management
Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and reports
Support the wider project management team in delivering the project to a high standard, on time and within budget
Experience Required
Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale commercial or new build projects
SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold card desirable), and First Aid certification
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage programmes, subcontractors, and health & safety compliance
Previous experience working for a principal contractor preferred
Remuneration
£55,000 per annum + Benefits
