Administrator required for a new, permanent, full-time role in the Team Valley area of Gateshead.  

The Role
Project Administration – prepare and maintain site information files and documentation from project inception; coordinate and record site requirements for welfare facilities and office setup; maintain document control systems throughout the project lifecycle, including managing updates and revisions to construction drawings; liaise with subcontractors, architects, and designers at project completion to collate documentation for Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Tender and Estimating Support – Assist the estimating department with the collation and organisation of tender documentation; log and track subcontractor quotations; follow up with subcontractors where necessary.

General Office Administration – Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of: Company vehicles (MOTs, servicing, insurance, checks); Mobile phones and IT equipment (laptops, tablets); Employee leave and absence; Staff training records and certifications; Book training courses for site and office staff as required; Ensure subcontractor insurance and certification records are current and filed appropriately; Manage incoming telephone calls and respond to general office queries and assist in preparing case studies for completed projects.

Compliance and Certification – Update company details and documentation on various portals to maintain industry certifications and accreditations.

The role is based within a supportive and professional working environment and comes with opportunities for growth and development.  It is a full-time role with standard office hours Mon – Thurs 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.00 pm.

Experience Required 
Applicants must have previous, recent, relevant experience in an administrative role, preferably within the construction industry but this is not essential.  They will also have strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.  Strong IT skills are essential and familiarity with a document control system is advantageous but not essential.

Remuneration
£27,000 to £30,000 depending upon experience.
