Site Manager

Site Manager – Bishop Auckland
Start Date: 17th November 2025
Duration: Until April 2026
Rate: Circa £300 per day (Umbrella or CIS)

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the extension of an existing building in Bishop Auckland. The project involves a steel frame extension with associated groundworks, running through to completion in April 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of site operations and workforce.
Overseeing groundworks, steel frame installation, and general construction activities.
Ensuring health & safety compliance and maintaining a tidy, safe site.
Coordination of subcontractors, materials, and deliveries.
Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management.
Maintaining quality standards throughout all stages of the build.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on similar projects (steel frame and groundworks essential).
Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance.
