Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the refurbishment of a Grade I listed property, commencing 8th December 2025. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the sympathetic restoration of a historic building, working alongside conservation professionals.

Freelance Site Manager – Grade I Listed Refurbishment
Location: Alnwick
Start Date: 8th December 2025
Duration: 26 weeks
Day Rate: Circa £300 per day

Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of site operations and subcontractors.
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest conservation standards.
Liaising with the client, architects, conservation officers, and other stakeholders.
Managing site documentation, permits, and H&S compliance.
Monitoring progress, quality, and reporting updates to the project team.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on heritage or listed building projects (Grade I listed experience preferred).
Strong understanding of conservation methods, traditional materials, and craftsmanship.
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification essential.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain a professional, proactive approach
