Role
A Design Manager is required – this opportunity will suit those from Project Management within a client or consultancy setting, and especially those who have ecological and environmental impact interests – to carry out physical studies of the project sites, mapping out implications of the work and providing the strategy for effective delivery, coordinating the front end process and managing design. Interaction with the client, as well as the Environment Agency, external consultancies and the contractor project team, managing various streams of work for a complicated project is the mainstay of this role.

The successful applicant will be assigned to projects in Northumberland – likely to be located closely to Berwick or Hexham.

Experience Required
Strong technical experience of civil engineering, understanding of the water network, passion for achieving ecologically and environmentally beneficial results are the key to success in this role. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of project management across various stakeholders. A background in main contractor or design consultancy civil engineering projects is imperative.
