Design Manager

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Design Manager to oversee the design process for the refurbishment and upgrading of buildings, ensuring full compliance with fire safety standards and new regulations. This role will involve managing the coordination between external design consultants and the project delivery team to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of key projects. The Role
As the Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end design process, working closely with external design consultants and internal project delivery teams to ensure projects meet fire safety and regulatory requirements. You will be the key point of contact for design-related matters, coordinating design inputs and ensuring seamless integration between design and delivery phases. The role also involves overseeing the compliance with the Gateway 2 process and ensuring all stages of design are fully aligned with regulatory standards.

Experience Required
Proven experience in managing the design process for building refurbishment and upgrades.
Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and building standards, including experience with Gateway 2 process.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external consultants and internal teams.
Strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
Relevant qualifications in construction, architecture, or project management.
