The Role
The Senior Health & Safety Manager will take responsibility for leading the health and safety function across regional projects, working closely with operational and senior leadership teams. The role includes managing and mentoring a team of Health & Safety professionals, ensuring consistent standards, compliance and continual improvement.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing a regional Health & Safety team
Driving a positive, proactive health and safety culture across sites
Providing expert advice and guidance to senior management and project teams
Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards
Overseeing audits, inspections, incident investigations and reporting
Playing a strategic role in shaping health and safety policies and initiatives

Experience Required
Proven experience in a senior health and safety role within a main contracting environment
Strong background in managing health and safety across multiple construction projects
Demonstrable experience of leading and developing teams
In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practice
Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
