Assistant Site Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Site Manager to join a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor operating across the North East. Ideal for someone with a background in either site engineering or groundworks supervision, this role offers long-term progression into site and project management.

The Role
Supporting the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of groundworks and civil engineering projects, including:
Supervising site activities and subcontractors
Ensuring health & safety compliance
Assisting with planning, setting out, and quality checks
Liaising with clients, engineers, and site teams
Reporting progress and supporting project delivery
Experience Required
Background in civil engineering or groundworks
Experience as either a Site Engineer or Groundworks Supervisor
SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS essential
Strong communication and leadership skills
Desire to progress into full site/project management
