Senior Design Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager to lead two education-sector projects with a combined value of £45m, based in the Yorkshire region. This role is suited to a professional with strong technical leadership and coordination skills across complex builds.

The Role
The Design Manager will take responsibility for managing the design process from pre-construction through delivery on two concurrent education projects. Key duties include coordinating consultants, managing design risk, ensuring compliance with employer’s requirements, and supporting site teams to achieve programme, quality, and cost objectives.

Experience Required
Proven experience in a Design Manager role within a main contracting environment
Background delivering education or other complex public-sector projects
Strong knowledge of design coordination, procurement, and construction processes
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder interfaces effectively

Remuneration
A competitive salary and car allowance (above £80,000 combined) and additional benefits package is on offer, commensurate with experience, along with the opportunity to work on significant, high-profile projects within the Yorkshire region.
