Freelance Site Manager (Façade Remediation / Fire Safety Projects)

Location: UK wide – must be willing to travel
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Umbrella or CIS)
Start: January 2026 – pending approval

We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected contractor that specialises in façade remediation projects, including fire-related re-cladding as well internal fire-stopping works, delivered across both new build and refurbishment sectors.

With several projects already secured and due to commence once final approval is received from the Building Safety Regulator, we’re looking to engage experienced Freelance Site Managers – and Assistant Site Managers – ready to mobilise as soon as the go-ahead is given.

The Role
You’ll take full responsibility for site delivery once works commence, ensuring that all fire safety and façade remediation works are carried out safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:
Day-to-day management of site operations, subcontractors, sequencing, and materials
Ensuring all necessary works are completed while scaffolding is in place – avoiding costly rework or delays later
Maintaining rigorous standards of health, safety, and compliance
Working closely with project, design, and commercial teams
Managing proactively – being visible on site, not just managing from the cabin

Skills Required
We’re looking for hands-on, detail-driven Site Managers who take ownership of their work and understand the complexities of façade and fire safety projects. You’ll bring:
Proven experience managing façade remediation, re-cladding, or fire safety works
A practical mindset – joinery, carpentry, or fire-stopping background is a strong advantage
Excellent communication and coordination skills
A proactive approach to planning, sequencing, and problem-solving
SMSTS or SSSTS, valid CSCS (Gold/Black), and First Aid
You’ll be someone who naturally spots potential issues early and ensures things are done properly

Remuneration
Freelance engagement via Umbrella or CIS
Competitive day rate (depending on experience)
Long-term workstream available with ongoing façade and fire safety projects
