We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee an 8-week commercial fit-out project starting in early January in Carlisle. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised professional who can manage day-to-day site activities and ensure the project is delivered safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors
• Ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
• Maintain strict health and safety standards, including inductions and toolbox talks
• Monitor progress and quality, reporting regularly to the project team
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate site records, permits, and documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on fit-out or refurbishment projects
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (adjust if not required)
• Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
