Assistant QS – Building Contractor – Newcastle

Construction company delivering building project in and around Newcastle area.

Role
Assistant QS required to support commercial management of project costs throughout the duration of projects from preparation of cost estimates and budgets, interim valuations, to final accounts. The QS will manage variations and change orders, prepare reports and maintain project documentation, liaising with site teams and subcontractors.

Experience Required
To apply for this position, an HND or higher qualification in quantity surveying is required, in addition to a year or more spent within a similar role in a construction environment. Good personable, communication and organisation skills are imperative, as are strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Remuneration
£25,000 to £28,000 salary. Support towards completion of apprenticeships/qualifications available.
