Planner (Construction)

Excellent opportunity to join a leading main contractor as a Construction Planner, working on projects from £5 mil to £50mil.

The Company
Main contractor with an excellent reputation as a contractor and as an employer. They carry out a range of newbuild and refurbishment projects – schools, hotels student accommodation, office blocks, industrial units to name a few. As a business they are well established and profitable.

The Role
You'll be responsible for creating comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines, from pre-construction to completion, co-ordinating information from in-house team and sub-contractors. Your expertise will be crucial in optimising resource allocation, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate them effectively. With a comprehensive understanding of construction methods, specifications, building regulations and build sequence, and talent for extracting pertinent information from people, your role will be a pivotal one in driving the success of projects. There will be visits to sites and meetings so a willingness to travel as part of this role is expected.

Experience
Previous experience as a Construction Planner, or another construction role with transferable skills.
Planning software experience such as Asta, P6 or similar.
CSCS card.

Remuneration
A competitive salary plus car allowance or company car.
