Given recent successes, our client is looking to expand and recruit a Civils Quantity Surveyor to work on a range of civils projects around the Chester area.

Client
With a turnover of £80 million and a workforce of over 400, this leading civils and building contractor offers expertise in a range of sectors including petrochemical, power, renewables, rail, general civils and industrial building construction. Projects offer plenty of variety including reinforced foundations, bund walls, pre-cast structures, roads, earthworks, drainage, and trenching.  

The Role
Compile and submit valuations to client on .
Compile and present internal valuations reporting on profitability, forecasting and change control.
Possess a general technical knowledge and understanding of re-measurement of civils works.
Liaise with the client to control and manage change to the project scope.
Procure and commercially manage sub-contract packages of works.
Understand and ensure compliance with the requirements of the contract, relevant legislation, approved codes of practice and procedures set out within the management systems and the bespoke needs of clients.
Provide commercial control, working to the financial targets of each contract 
Represent the company at post tender, pre-start, progress, valuation and final account meetings with clients and sub-contractors.
Represent the company at internal meetings e.g. handover, valuation and cost review meetings.

Qualifications
Suitable vocational qualifications, or qualified to HNC/HND/Degree level in Quantity Surveying.
