Assistant Commercial Analyst

Assistant Commercial Analyst required for a new role with a regional construction business.  I am looking for 3-4 people to join this company at a time of imminent and substantial expansion.  Having bid for and won a substantial new contract, my client is keen to start people as soon as possible.

All of the roles are within the company’s commercial team, focussing on the cost of projects that have been carried out, to enable accurate and timely data is reported weekly.

The roles are all full-time permanent and based in either Hebburn or Darlington to suit the candidate.

The Role
The successful candidates will ensure valuations of works are accurate, fair and in line with the agreed terms and rates.  The timely submission of invoices is vital and must be carried out in accordance with agreed deadlines. This includes the effacing handling and resolution of all queries that may arise.

Additionally, they will also assist in reporting on commercial and operational performance for the North East Office by analysing data, identifying trends, and presenting feedback to the Senior Management Team.

Day to day duties will include: 

Integrating daily job completion reports, creation of daily valuation sheets, uploading of job sheets to client, pricing valuations and entering onto client’s system for submission.
Performing the analysis of daily job completion data and generating weekly reports showing commercial performance for the North East Office, presenting this information at team meetings.
Investigating pricing queries raised by the client and ensuring prompt responses. 
Monitoring trends to identify areas of improvements to systems and processes.
Developing an understanding of the contract and how the terms and rates are applied.

The Person
Applicants will have strong finance/accounts skills and an advanced knowledge of Excel is also essential.

There is a tremendous amount of data analysis involved daily and the role would suit someone who enjoys working with numbers.  

Remuneration
£26,500 per annum.
