Customer Service Adviser required for a brand new role to be based in Durham.  Largely office based, there will be an additional requirement to travel around the region, speaking to customers face to face. 

The Role
This is quite an unusual role as it is working for a construction company who carry out roadworks in and around domestic and commercial properties.  It is important that the people this may impact are aware of the works and that there is someone they can address their questions, queries and concerns or even complaints to.  As a reflection of the high standards of customer care provided by the company, they have a team of people who carry this out.  This can be done via post, email, phone and in person.

There is hybrid working available, with some work done in the office, some at home and some out and about in the regions.  A generous car allowance of £5,000 per year and a fuel card is offered on top of the competitive salary of £26,000 per year.

The duties for this role are varied with no two days being the same and typically they include:

Inputting data to assist with accurate reporting;
Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to then provide customers with accurate information;
Handling customer complaints and delivering timely responses;
Managing expectations of stakeholders and customers;
Visiting customers to discuss their requirements;
Attending meetings with clients to agree the level of customer service required;
Ensuring customer records are updated accurately;
Keeping records of customer queries and resolutions to provide ‘lessons learnt’ feedback to the wider team;
Supporting the Customer Service Manager / team with customer visits;
Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service.

Experience Required
Plenty of customer service experience, face to face and via phone too.
Full valid UK driving licence essential
Effective listening skills – be approachable, empathetic and ethical
Excellent communication skills written, verbal and face to face

Remuneration
£26,000 per annum plus £5k car allowance.
