We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Document Controller within a company based in Middlesbrough.  Reporting directly to the Construction Director, this role is interesting and varied, the Document Controller is responsible for carrying out the document control functions for the business and also for supporting the Quality Manager.

The Role
The hours are full-time and the duties include:

Control of documents and drawings coming in to the company both electronically and traditional paper methods. 
Dispensing received drawing information to the various internal departments in a punctual manner.
Performing registration, dispatch, filing and archiving of formal documents.
Assisting in the compilation and indexing of quality records.
Ensuring that the established system improvements are properly implemented.
Coordinating with company's internal departments, suppliers and clients with regards to the documents/quality records from issuance to acceptance.
Allocating document numbers to ensure formal documents are uniquely and correctly identified, and that associated meta-data is correctly allocated and captured.

Quality or construction support experience would be advantageous but is not essential
Experience in compiling and maintaining documentation files 
Have an interest in quality assurance
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proactive and be able to work on their own initiative
Be proficient in Microsoft Applications
