Major building contractor – Design Manager

Company
A leading, national building contractor with strong regional presence in Yorkshire, managing projects within the region.

Role
Managing framework contracts from pretender to construction completion. Typically projects are valued between £10m and £40m; the Design Manager carries responsibility for ensuring the flow of design information between the Architect, Consulting Engineer, Contractor and Subcontractor stakeholders from preconstructon to site completion.

Experience Required
Successful applicants will be either;

– Already in a Design Management position with a building contractor, looking to join a larger company or a change of environment, able to work independently
– Currently working in a senior architectural or construction engineering consultancy role, commercially astute, looking to make the change to design management with a building contractor.

This is a fast paced role which requires the incumbent to effectively communicate with a range of different stakeholders within a project, to investigate and source information required in line with the construction programmes and multitask efficiently.
