Reporting to the Bid Manager, the Design Manager will be responsible for undertaking all design aspects through all stages of projects across a mix of sectors.
The Design Manager will have the ability to identify and initiate project direction on key technical construction issues and processes and to assess and advise on closing out project risks, and will identify and implement added value throughout the project process.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Producing with the Bid teams comprehensive Contractors Proposals and Technical Information Documents in support of Scheme submissions.
Managing the design process effectively and efficiently.
Ability to manage the Risk and Opportunity Process.
Establish Fee Proposals with Consultants utilising the Company’s suite of Documents.
Administer document control systems.
Supporting the company commercial procedures and processes.
Producing project programmes demonstrating sound commercial and technical knowledge and understanding.
Identifying and implementing added value throughout the project process.
The successful candidate will demonstrate relevant experience within a building contractor or architectural practice, and will have familiarity with IT systems and Planning Software.
£40,000 – £60,000 per annum.
