Development Manager / Project Manager

Excellent opportunity for a proactive and engaging Development Manager/Project Manager to join a growing housing developer.

The Company
A new-build housing developer within North Yorkshire, delivering approximately 450 bespoke, high quality homes annually and are tailored to each location. 

The Role
As Development Manager you will project manage the land acquisition and development stages for new-build housing developments, providing reports for upper management and ensuring that the technical, legal and financial aspects of projects are tracked. This involves lots of different activities through the lifecycle of each scheme, setting up of business plans and monitoring to ensure they are delivered. You will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and work closely with contractors, architects, engineers, planners and local councillors and MPs. You will also work closely with the solicitors, and NY Highways stakeholders to ensure sectional agreements are in place and technical issues are resolved, responsible for co-ordinating the sign off of works onto maintenance periods and adoption.

Experience Required
A relevant qualification in construction, project management or development.
A strong background in developing business cases, developing precommencement programmes/writing project plans and schedules.
Producing monthly development reports and cashflows.
Knowledgeable on contractual matters in the construction industry.
Knowledgeable on financial elements of construction from initial land viability appraisal, budget settings, to reviewing monthly CVRs and P&L forecasting for construction projects.
