A progressive opportunity for an experienced client side Project Manager to work within the development and delivery arm of a high profile housing association.

An opportunity offering a flexible, agile working arrangement – working with flexibility from home, largely around developments in Yorkshire, and with some occasional visits to Head Office.  Full home working support and equipment will be provided.

The Role
Working alongside four other Project Managers, this Project Manager, reporting to the Development Contracts Manager, will take responsibility for the Yorkshire developments portfolio, with operational responsibility for the delivery of a number of new build construction projects both from the perspective of the designer developer working with an appointed principal contractor, and in development arrangements with private developers.

The Development Project Manager will manage a number of projects through the construction phase up until the end of the defects period, ensuring developments are completed in line with Business Plan Targets. Working with the commercial team, this individual will advise on site progress and quality as part of a team approach through the effective management of construction contracts.

Key to the successful delivery of any project is ensuring the health and safety of all of those involved is maintained, whilst also safeguarding the environment in which the company operates.  It is the responsibility of this role to report how stakeholders and contractor partners perform and seek to continuously improve the performance of the projects under your control.

Experience Required
Experience in construction management as a client side Project Manager or Employer's Agent, is essential, as is knowledge of JCT contracts and development agreements, and the ability to manage a contractor to a given programme.  Experience of cash flow management and variations and health and safety management (client side) is also essential.

The priorities of this role are programme, customer, safety, product and quality.  Applicants will need to demonstrate an understanding and experience of all of this in a building, preferably housing, environment.

Remuneration
£45,000 per annum
