Quantity Surveyor – Top Building Contractor – North East

Regional office of a top national main contractor, operating across the North East on medium to large scale building projects through commercial, leisure, education, healthcare and residential sectors.

Job
The Quantity Surveyor role will involve collaboration with the team to oversee various aspects of projects, either running a smaller scheme autonomously or working with a Senior QS on larger schemes. This includes effective commercial management of work packages to reduce costs and risks, focusing on optimising value for money while meeting all necessary legal standards and maintaining quality within the parameters of the agreed contract conditions.

Experience Required
The successful applicant will demonstrate experience within a main contracting background and have a proven track record of success within high value projects, ideally ranging between £5m and £50m. Degree / HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying and a knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts are imperative.
