Quantity Surveyor

Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly expanding subcontractor based in the North East. 

Company
Privately owned Steel subcontractor, based in Stockton that work on a national basis on high value schemes across the UK.

Job
Managing the commercial accounts of one or more projects including:
Budget allocation and ongoing development
Valuation of measured works and variations with customers
Procurement of Secondary Sub-Contract packages including valuation of measured works and variations
Cost control and forecasting including regular reporting of project P&L using data from our ERP system to produce accurate Cost: Value Reconciliation reports
Administration of the Company’s contractual obligations and entitlements with both customers and Secondary Sub-Contractors

Experience Required
Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, ideally with structural steel or similar sector experience
Excellent communication and team-working skills but also capable of working on own initiative
Working knowledge of JCT and NEC Sub-Contracts as well as an understanding of relevant common law
