This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with gas or other 'short cycle' utilities/small civils projects experience to join a principal contractor with ongoing work in the West Midlands.
The business is a highly capable and trusted contractor working in the infrastructure marketplace delivering new or maintaining water, gas, electric and telecoms for a range of clients. They are growing significantly and have won places on several major frameworks.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be working closely with the supply chain managing gas maintenance projects, streetworks, measuring works, dealing with early warning notices and compensation events with the local delivery subcontractors, providing regular cash flow reports, resolving commercial issues, ensuring that the contract is managed as per the NEC terms.
A degree or similar in Quantity Surveying with sound understanding and experience managing ongoing utilities projects such as gas mains repairs or replacements.
Experience of NEC contract administration.
Good IT skills, EWC and Compensation events are managed through an in-house end-to-end system.
Ideally you will be a self starter, able to manage your time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
