Opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work for the North East Regional Business of a National Main Contractor with a proven track record for delivering award winning projects for international developer and the public sector..

Regional office of a large National Main Contractor, operating across the North East on Medium to Large Building projects through commercial, education, Healthcare and Residential sectors.

Job
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the execution of the Quantity Surveying function in accordance with the systems and procedures of the business, in order to fulfil the requirements of the Company in maximising quality of service and profitability. The successful candidate will form part of a growing “family” team reporting to the Commercial Manager.

Responsibilities
Working with the project team to maximise the success of the project for the client and contractor
Planning and undertaking procurement of sub-contract works
Monitoring and managing risks, change and overall project cost control to maximise profitability
Accurate reporting of project financial performance
Administering main contracts and sub-contracts throughout the works with knowledge of JCT & NEC forms
Carrying out valuation of the Contractor’s and sub-contractors works to maintain positive cash flow
Visit site as and when required.

Experience Required
We are looking for a candidate who has experience of commercially managing their own New Build or Refurbishment Construction projects and teams of Medium to Large value.
Experience of both JCT and NEC forms of contract would be advantageous.
Driving Licence is essential.

Remuneration
Salary is negotiable, with an attractive package, dependant on experience.
