Quantity Surveyor

Due to continued growth, an experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to join a prestigious Regional Building Contractor based in the North East and Yorkshire.

Job 
An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to be the commercial lead on a large project in the North East /Yorkshire region.

Role
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, in budget, to the right quality and to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
Ensuring Contracts are administered correctly on all projects.
Preparing, defending and evaluating claims. 
Delay and Disruption analysis and techniques to ascertain actual entitlement.
Advising on dispute resolution and avoidance.
Contractual, Statutory and Common Law advice and guidance.
Responsible for pre-construction assessment, advice and strategy from a commercial and legal perspective.
Negotiation and agreement of Contract Terms and Conditions.  Contracts include Main Contract, Frameworks, Sub Contracts and Consultant Appointments.
Advising on and agreeing suitable warranties, insurances and bonds.
Overall responsibility for the commercial delivery of all projects.

Experience Required 
The successful applicant will come from a background of main contracting within building construction and have been exposed to a wide variety of projects. It is essential to demonstrate good managerial skills, ambition to progress and a good level of initiative.

Remuneration
Negotiable including Car/Car Allowance and full benefits.
