Senior Quantity Surveyor

Opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for the North East Regional Business of a National Main Contractor with a proven track record for delivering award winning projects.

Regional office of a large National Main Contractor, operating on Medium to Large Building projects.

Job
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the execution of the Quantity Surveying function in accordance with the systems and procedures of the business, in order to fulfil the requirements of the Company in maximising quality of service and profitability.

Responsibilities
Providing advice on the financial viability of projects during their initial phases.
Structuring projects into distinct work packages for procurement purposes
Evaluating the profitability of subcontractors and assigning work packages accordingly, engaging in negotiations with subcontractor networks to optimise value.
Supervising payment applications from subcontractors and preparing payment applications for clients.

Experience Required
We are looking for a candidate who has experience of commercially managing their own construction projects and teams of Medium to Large value.
Demonstrable experience of both JCT and NEC forms of contract.

Remuneration
Salary is negotiable, with an attractive package, dependant on experience.
